About
About Falah: Prayer Times and Qur’an Reflection for Ireland
Falah is a quiet, single-screen companion built around the rhythm of the Irish day. It shows the five daily prayers for towns across the island, a live local clock, the Hijri date and a verse for reflection, then gets out of the way. Nothing to install, nothing to scroll, nothing asking for your attention beyond the next prayer.
What the app does
Prayer times are calculated for your chosen Irish town from its coordinates and the calculation method you select, with a high-latitude rule applied so Fajr and Isha stay sensible through Ireland’s long summer evenings. The display also rotates through towns, plays the adhan at prayer times once audio is enabled, and keeps the screen readable at any brightness. Alongside that sits a complete Qur’an reader: all 114 surahs in Arabic with an English translation, searchable by name or number, plus a daily verse on the home screen. Administrators can match their own mosque’s timetable using per-prayer offsets and local mosque times.
Who it is for
It is made for the Muslim community in Ireland — families keeping track of prayer at home, students and workers checking the next prayer on a phone, new Muslims learning the daily rhythm, and mosques or community centres that want a calm, always-on display for a lobby, classroom or prayer hall. It is equally useful for anyone visiting Ireland who is unsure how the summer nights affect the timetable.
Who builds it
Falah is a free service by Pakistani.irish, a product of ERD Solutions. It is built and maintained as a community project rather than a commercial one: there are no ads, no accounts required to view prayer times, and no tracking of what you read. Qur’an text and translations are served by AlQuran Cloud, and calculation follows established conventions such as the Muslim World League and Umm al-Qura methods.
